Netflix has announced that actors Dave Annable (Brothers and Sisters, 666 Park Avenue, Yellowstone) and Louis Herthum (Westworld, True Detective, Revenge) have joined the cast of the upcoming series What/If.
Annable will play Dr. Ian Harris on the series, and Herthum will be Foster, the “imposing driver and right hand man” of Anne, an enigmatic and unpredictable woman who is willing to manipulate others to get what she wants.
What/If is an anthology drama series created by Mike Kelley, which stars Renée Zellweger as Anne. Jane Levy and Blake Jenner are portraying Lisa and Sean, a struggling married couple who accept an “ethically perilous proposition” from Anne to secure their financial future. Samantha Ware co-stars the series alongside Juan Castano, Keith Powers, and Saamer Usmani.
The series “explores the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things,” per the streaming service’s official description. “Each season will tackle a different morality tale inspired by culturally consequential source material, and the power of a single fateful decision to change the trajectory of an entire life.”
The streaming service has ordered a ten-episode season of 60-minute episodes. Netflix has not yet announced a premiere date for What/If, though it was set to begin production in early September in Los Angeles.
