Top British Shows Premiering in 2022 on Apple TV+

A new year, a new series, and a new level of anticipation. I’m going to tell you about four brand new Apple TV+ programs for you guys. Make a special reminder to enjoy it when the time comes.

The Afterparty

The Afterparty is a Christopher Miller-created upcoming American murder mystery comedic streaming television series planned to air on Apple TV+ on January 28, 2022. Jamie Demetriou, Tiffany Haddish, Dave Franco, and Ilana Glazer are just a few of the celebrities who are being investigated in this new whodunit. At his high-school reunion afterparty, a celebrity was assassinated. As it turns out, many others at the gathering had numerous reasons to despise the man, implying that there are numerous suspects. Each of the eight episodes features a different character recounting the events of the night from their point of view. Consider The Affair, but with a lot more comedy.

The Essex Serpent

Claire Danes, Tom Hiddleston and Clémence Poésy will play Victorian-era widows in “The Essex Serpent”. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Sarah Perry. It tells the story of Cora, a widow looking for a fresh start following her escape from an abusive marriage. She moves to a small Essex village plagued by a local superstition about a mythical serpent. There she encounters Will, a community leader trying to contain rumors about the beast. The series is directed by Clio Barnard and written by Anna Symon and produced by SeeSaw Films. Date of Streaming: 2022 (exact date TBA)

Slow horses tv series

Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Jack Lowden have joined the cast of “Slow Horses.” The film is based on Mick Herron’s spy series of the same name. It will take place at Slough House in London, where MI5 spies retire after committing career-ending blunders. The first season, directed by James Hawes (“Snowpiercer”), will be released in 2022.

Suspicion

Suspicion is a new English-language thriller based on the Israeli thriller False Flag. Uma Thurman will star in the series. Uma Thurman stars as a businesswoman whose son is kidnapped from a New York hotel. Four British citizens who happen to be staying at the hotel at the same time soon become prime suspects. They’re caught in a cat-and-mouse chase with law enforcement agencies as they try to prove their innocence. Rob Williams (Man in the High Castle) serves as showrunner for the series, which was produced in the U.K. and U.S.
