Thorpe Park Unveils First 'The Walking Dead' Themed Ride

If you love thrills and are a fan of the TV smash hit The Walking Dead then you really need to head over to Thorpe Park later this year.
Thorpe Park Resort recently announced that The Walking Dead: The Ride, the world’s first rollercoaster themed around the global TV phenomenon, will open this Easter.
This ride is new and exclusive to the park, which is based in Surrey, and makes for an exciting new addition to its 2018 season.
As well as this, the attraction is the headline act of its Year of The Walking Dead series of unmissable events, meaning it is going to be truly brilliant.
What makes it so special is the fact that it enables visitors to enjoy The Walking Dead experience during a relentless ride for survival. It is also the UK’s first and only multi-sensory and multi-part rollercoaster, so adrenaline junkies can enjoy a theme park ride like no other!
You can expect state-of-the-art special effects, a replica of the iconic watch tower and deep, dark tunnels leading you on a truly terrifying journey – realistic theming will bring some of the most compelling and gruesome scenes from all seasons of The Walking Dead to life.
The ride will be at the forefront of the resort’s Year of The Walking Dead unmissable series of events. The annual line-up also includes the following:
The Walking Dead Living Nightmare Extreme
A live action maze that will scare and delight you in equal measure. This feature is available only for May Half Term (25 May – 3 June) so get booking!
Zombie Hunt
Get immersed in the action during this extreme battle for survival made even more exciting because of its suitable location on the outskirts of Thorpe Park. The hunt can be experienced for the six weeks of summer (21 July – 3 Sept).
Fright Nights
This immensely popular season will return to the park in 2018 but there will be a fabulous new twist – it will incorporate a Walking Dead theme.
Keep your eyes peeled for further announcements regarding Thorpe Park features and events.
In the meantime, to celebrate this exclusive launch, the resort are offering a special discounted deal to annual pass holders.
For just £49, visitors can pay for 12 months entry which allows them to return repeatedly throughout the year. This will save them £6 on the adult (on the day walk up) price.
The pass enables visitors access to the resort for a year from the date of purchase. The 2018 season runs from 23 March – 31 October.
