Are you searching for a go-to snack? Mushroom Wrap has your back. Mushroom wrap serves as a go-to meal. Needless to say, mushrooms are low in calories and they are full of nutrition. This is a go-to snack that can be packed in the kid’s tiffin box, or for a quick office lunch box. The wrap around it will also add to some wholesome meals. It will help in catering to the hunger for a long time along with the activities post lunch. Let’s get to the recipe without further delay.


Ingredients:


For the filling:


• 2 cups of chopped Mushrooms
• 1 medium-sized onion thinly sliced
• 5-6 garlic cloves, minced
• 1-inch ginger minced
• Bell peppers of your choice
• 1 cup of cabbage thinly sliced
• Handful of coriander leaves
• 1 teaspoon of Red pepper flakes
• Salt to taste
• 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder
• ½ teaspoon of dried fenugreek leaves
• 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil


For the wrap:


• 1 cup of all-purpose flour, or gluten-free flour
• A pinch of salt
• ½ teaspoon of powdered sugar
• 1-2 teaspoons of olive oil
• Warm water as required


Method:


For the dough:


• Take a large bowl and add the flour, a pinch of salt, sugar, and olive oil.
• Mix the ingredients till they form a crumble when it is put together.
• Add the water gradually and knead it into a soft dough.
• Let it rest for 30 minutes to an hour.
• Cover it with a wet towel to keep it moist.
• Knead the dough once it had rested.
• Prepare dough balls and let them rest for at least 10 minutes before you roll out the dough.
• Roll out the dough into nice medium-sized tortillas
• Take a pan and toast them on both sides along with some olive oil.
• The tortilla for the wrap is ready

For the filling:


• Take a pan add a few drops of olive oil and let it heat.
• Add the minced ginger, and garlic and sauté it for a while till the raw smell goes.
• Add the mushrooms, the bell peppers, and the cabbage and sauté it on high heat.
• Let it sear till all of the vegetables are wilted but still their crunch remains.
• Add black pepper, red pepper flakes, dried fenugreek leaves, and salt.
• Mix them. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes more.
• Turn the flame off. The filling is ready.


Assembling:


• Take the prepared tortilla and add the filling.
• Top it off with thinly sliced onion, coriander leaves, and lemon juice.
• You can also add your favorite sauces along with mayonnaise for that extra moisture.
• Wrap it up and it’s ready.


The mushroom wrap is ready. Enjoy.
