Unidentified gunmen riding in sport-utility vehicles shot individuals in numerous neighborhoods of Reynosa, simply a stone’s throw from town, Texas, on Saturday afternoon, Tamaulipas state enforcement officers told.

The identities of the victims haven’t been informed, and police are investigating the motive. State, territorial, and military security forces were sent to Reynosa in response to the shootings. One person was held, and 3 vehicles concerned with the shootings were confiscated, police said.

“We raise the security forces to clarify the unfortunate events wherever twelve individuals lost their lives and 3 additional were injured,” Reynosa city manager Maki Esther Ortiz Dominguez told on Twitter before the total death toll was declared, “and protect citizens from these violent acts.”

Texas Governor Greg Abbott last week proclaimed that the state can build its own border wall and start to create mass arrests of extralegal aliens to assist secure the region. He told that beneath Biden’s policies, unprecedented numbers of migrants are crossing into Texas leading to increasing home invasions, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and harm to crops and eutherian livestock.
