Sacha Baron Cohen calls to stop racist abuse

Sacha Baron Cohen urges Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey to take action on online racism against England footballers in a tweet.

Baron-Cohen tweeted from his account:

In the 11th Julys match, Rashford, Sancho, and Saka have received torrents of racist abuse from some England fans. Saka missed the fifth and decisive penalty, which has been especially targeted.

Twitter stated Metro in response to Baron Cohen’s post and mentioned:
“The abhorrent racist abuse directed at England players last night has absolutely no place on Twitter,”

“In the past 24 hours, through a combination of machine learning-based automation and human review, we have swiftly removed over 1000 Tweets. We permanently suspended a number of accounts for violating our rules – the vast majority of which we detected ourselves proactively using technology. We will continue to take action when we identify any Tweets or accounts that violate our policies.”

Otherside a spokesperson for Facebook expressed the journal that it had and will continue to remove comments and accounts “directing abuse at England’s footballers”.

And also included,“In addition to our work to remove this content, we encourage all players to turn on Hidden Words, a tool which means no one has to see abuse in their comments or DMS,”

Baron-Cohen is the latest star to speak up for the England players among the racist abuse. Liam Gallagher, Anne-Marie, and Piers Morgan have all shown support for the three footballers.
