The Scrapped ‘LEGO Batman’ Sequel was written by Dan Harmon and Michael Waldron, and the Story Sounds Unbelievable. Thus, it will seem like a piece of bad news for the fans that they could not make any sequel of it due to a rights issue.

The LEGO Batman Movie was one of the best animated movies of the past few years. The film perfectly presented the assignment of the character of Batman and what makes him special.

According to the director of the 2017 movie Chris McKay, Harmon finished a draft about the next film story and casting issues that would have seen Will Arnett and Michael Cera repeat their roles as LEGO Batman and Robin, as well as Zach Galifianakis as Joker.

After the withdrawal, McKay said, “It was a story about the Justice League and where Batman was in terms of the Justice League now, and the struggles they were going through, as well as flashing back to how the Justice League came together.”

He also added, “It also featured Batman and Superman’s relationship, as well as Batman’s relationship to a lot of the other members of the Justice League. And there was a great part for Robin…I wish there was a way for us to go do that movie because that would have been a lot of fun.”

In the meantime, Alison Brie has been confirmed to be added as the voice cast of Rick and Morty for its fifth season. In 2017 The Lego Batman Movie has grossed over $311 million worldwide. But unfortunately, we will never see its sequel into making.
