Mozart in the Jungle – Season 4 Preview

The fourth season of ‘Mozart in the Jungle’ will premiere Amazon Prime Video UK on Friday, 16 Feb. The series, based on Blair Tindall’s autobiography ‘Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs and Classical Music’, tells the story of an oboist with the New York Symphony and the world she finds herself in. After the particular events of the third season, the conductor Rodrigo (Gael García Bernal) is still trying to find the right path for the New York Symphony to follow.
In this new season, Rodrigo and Hailey (Lola Kirke) make their relationship public. Hailey enters a competition to prove herself as a conductor in Japan, while Rodrigo tries to keep his inspiration alive. Will they be able to balance the demands of their careers and relationship or will it tear them apart? In addition, Thomas joins a start-up orchestra in Brooklyn that challenges Gloria (Bernadette Peters). The trips to Japan will increase the problems for Rodrigo and his musicians.
The cast of the fourth season includes the guest stars Debra Monk, Masi Oka, Michael Emerson and John Cameron Mitchell. Monica Bellucci will appear once again after she played an Italian opera singer in season three.
‘Mozart in the Jungle’ was developed for television by Roman Coppola, and the series has been rewarded with two Golden Globe wins for best series and best lead actor (Gael García Bernal), as well as an Emmy.
