Halloween

Usually a revival of an old franchise can be a red flag for horror fans. Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday 13th’s remakes prove that the classic slasher baddies don’t always do remakes very well. However with Halloween’s co-creater John Carpenter returning to serve as an executive producer this may be worth getting hyped for. With Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle coming to reprise their roles as Laurie Strode and knife wielding Michael Myers, as well as disregarding all the sequels and the plan for this to be a solid sequel to just the original movie means we don’t have to worry with the (slightly) convoluted story. Keeping a definite eye on this one.
