Gaucho | Electro Brunch Review

Birmingham restaurant Gaucho, the renowned Argentine Steak house, are offering a fantastic electro brunch served from 11am-4pm every Saturday and as my close friends 50th birthday fell on a Saturday, it was the perfect opportunity to sample the goodies on offer and treat the birthday boy!
We booked in for a two hour slot and went for the premium electro brunch which was £59.95 per head and my word, it was worth every penny.
The brunch works with two hours of eating as many dishes as you like, as many times as you like.
We started with Medialuna with peanut butter Dulce de Leche and French toast with peanut butter Dulce de Leche and a Bloody Mary just to get the day started. The Dulce de Leche was out of this world. I tried to take a pot home with me but played it cool as it also accompanied my pancakes at the end.
Nearing lunch time we moved on to the steak and egg where, the steak was cooked perfectly along with a perfectly runny egg as requested. While we tucked in to enjoy the food and drink, the atmosphere was buzzing with the DJ playing old school funky house which put a smile on every ones face and made the couple of hours we had there a real pleasure.
The next dish sampled was the Gaucho Benedict which is made with Salt Beef. It’s the first time I’ve had Benedict with salt beef and I’ll certainly be trying this at home.
The drinks at Gaucho are professionally created and the Espresso Martini was next on the list, as a little pick me up after eating lots of delicious food.
The service at Gaucho was second to none, the waiting staff were very attentive, and always keen to find out what you thought of each dish and drink, just to make sure it was to your taste.
We finished the meal with some sneaky Oven Baked Chorizo Sausage, and finally Banana pancakes with Maple syrup and Nutella (and another pot of Dulce de Leche.)

Smiles all round!
I’ve visited lots of great eating establishments in Birmingham over the years but Gaucho is simply stunning on the eye with the wide open booths, beautiful décor and layout of the restaurant, which worked really well together and gave it a comfortable but open feel, a real credit to the designer.

I would highly recommend trying Gaucho’s Electro brunch on a Saturday, you won’t regret it. It’s the perfect way to get the party started for a big Saturday outing or even a special occasion.
The two brunching options are the Electro Brunch £49.95 and the Premium Electro Brunch £59.95.
Gaucho is located in a lovely part of Birmingham City Centre on Colmore Row. Easily accessible from Broad Street, Digbeth and all central train stations.
