Dhaka Half Marathon 2022 Canceled

The authority has canceled the Dhaka Half Marathon 2022 events due to the deteriorating of Covid’s situation across the country.

The announcement of cancelation of the event from the authority has announced on its Facebook page on Tuesday. It said,

“With the health and safety of our community being an utmost priority, we regret to inform you that the Dhaka Half Marathon 2022 cannot take place on 11 February 2022 due to the deteriorating Covid situation in the country. We recognize that the postponement may come as a disappointment but we look forward to providing our athletes with an exceptional race experience in the future. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

Participants are accepting this with a glum face but they are also considering this as a good decision as the Covid situation is becoming worsened in Bangladesh. Some participants are also demanding a virtual run like it was on last year, but no prior decision is declared by the DHM authorities yet.

The annual Dhaka Half Marathon (DHM), organized by Dhaka Run Lords, is a signature running event of Bangladesh for people of all experience levels and walks of life who want to embrace a healthy and fit lifestyle.
