Dialectic Soul

Aritst, Asher Gamedze

You’d think that a solo album put out by a jazz drummer would at best fill a very small niche in the music market. Here thought the South African tub-thumper has defied the odds with a high-quality piece of work that only just occasionally has you slightly feeling a bit of drag. The neat thing about Dialectic Soul is its accessibility with the jazz element being relatively uncomplicated even when the sticks are really flying. This is a record for the masses and not just music snobs.
