After Backlash from the American People, Donald Trump Ends Migrant Separation

Though previously seen on local news channels saying that he could not sign an executive order to end the matter, President Trump finally signed one yesterday ending the separation of migrant families at the U.S. border to Mexico. This was a result of the tremondous outcry from the American people protesting the cruel act.
Protests broke out all over the nation, with citizens taking to the streets demanding that the government take action. People also went on social media and made calls to their Senators to end the procedure. In protest, Governors from at least eight states, including Governor Larry Hogan of Maryland, refused to send troops and other support to the U.S. Mexico border.
“Earlier this morning, I ordered our four crew members & helicopter to immediately return from where they were stationed in New Mexico,” Hogan said on his Twitter account Tuesday.
Despite the signing of the order, Trump went on to say that the protests were designed by the Decomcratic party to distract people from former presidential candidate Hilary Clinton’s crimes.
At a rally in Duluth Minnesota Wednesday, Trump said, “Right now they are building up immigration, they are building up immigration.” He went on to say “They don’t want to show what’s happening in Congress where this scam has been revealed.”
Images and audio of crying children were released earlier this week, where they had been placed in what appear to be cages. As of now, over 2,000 children have been separated from their parents, and though the executive order does stop the separation, so far there is no word on reuniting the children with their parents.
