Why You Should be Listening to Mae Muller

The 23-year-old London pop sensation is rocking the music industry and we think you should be listening to her.

Starting out as a late bloomer, growing up in Kentish Town, North London, Mae Muller went from writing singles only at the age of 18, with covers of Rihanna and Frank Ocean across Instagram, to now hit singles with millions of streams. Mae’s raw emotions in each relatable pop singles have kept her on the radar as one of the breakthrough acts of the year.

Following her latest single ‘so annoying’, an insight in falling in love without wanting to, Mae added: “Usually people like the idea of falling in love but, to me, it’s just scary and slightly inconvenient! When you love somebody you’re almost handing over that power; if you left, it would affect me! So, to me, that always seemed daunting.

I also wanted to write about the push and pull you sometimes can experience when you’re in love. Even though we fight, and you aggravate the hell out of me, we will always run back to each other. How annoying!” Exhibiting stripped back vocals layered over a melodic guitar, Mae versatile sound, with a hint of where she has come from, sees the artist breaking down the scene as a hit pop star.

With singles featuring across the likes of Spotify’s New Music Friday to Apple Music’s A-List Pop, already amassed over 100 million streams and stormed her way live with a sold-out 2020 headline tour of the U.K. Mae Muller is not here to mess around.
