WhatsOn Visited Eastern University Campus to Witness Drama “Nimojjan”

Last month, WhatsOn team BD paid a visit to Eastern University, after accepting the invitation of EUDTF club co-coordinator, Assistant Prof. Ismat Zarin to attend their theatre production “Nimojjan” by Selim-Al-Din. The beautiful production was performed by Eastern University students, performers and was directed by Shatel Kabir, a theatre activist and news producer of Independent Television.
Along with the WhatsOn house banner, a group of five people: Poushi, Puza, Juthy, Forhad & Azim went to their Dhanmondi campus to build connections with university students, performers, graduates, teachers, club members and more.
The drama started around 3pm Bangladesh time. Prof. Zarin took to the stage and introduced team WhatsOn. On behalf of the team, Poushi introduced the platform to the university students and talked about WhatsOn opportunities for young people to contribute in International Media.
After that, the programme continued for half an hour in the afternoon. Hundreds of people from academia, media, club members and students of Eastern University were present.
On that programme, University Professor Dr. Shahid Akhter Hossain, Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, graced the show with his presence as the Chief Guest.
Alongside them, Mr. Abul Basher Khan, Registrar of Eastern University and Mr. A. S. Mahmud, Treasurer, enjoyed the show as special guests.
The show was also graced by the presence of Prof. Kashinath Roy, Dean, Faculty of English, Ms. Ismat Zarin, Asst. Prof. Department of English and Coordinator of EUDTF, Faculty Member of Eastern University and performers of the EUDTF Forum.
The show was performed by amazing actors, singers like Alina, Sohana, Tushar, Kanak and many other performers of EUDTF group.
As the drama ended, the team distributed the latest copies of WhatsOn guides to the guests, performers, library and students along with WhatsOn merchandise like pens, calendars and badges, and also spared some time to take selfies and photos with performers and guests.
Finally, EUDTF coordinator Prof. Zarin served delicious snacks and coffee which made the visit more refreshing. Overall, it was an amazing day for getting along with the students.
