Facebook Faces FTC Charge up to $5bn

Facebook has been charged over countless security and privacy scandals where fine can be raise up to $5bn in privacy investigation by the US Federal Trade Commission for privacy violations.
Revealing the news in first quarter financial reports, the growth may rise to more than $15bn for the first three months of the year.

“In the first quarter of 2019, we reasonably estimated a probable loss and recorded an accrual of $3 billion in connection with the inquiry of the FTC into our platform and user-data practices, which accrual is included in accrued expenses and other current liabilities on our condensed consolidated balance sheet.”
Reportedly, Facebook and the FTC have been negotiating over the agreement, which can predominate the earlier most prominent punishment for a privateness pass, a $22.5m magnificent contrary to Google in 2012.
