She originally came to the public’s attention in 2015 with her debut track “Ocean Eyes,” which was later published by Darkroom, an imprint of Interscope Records. She collaborates on music and live performances with her brother, Finneas O’Connell, who also wrote and produced the song. Her financially successful debut EP Don’t Smile at Me (2017) peaked in the top 15 of the charts in many nations, including the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (Eilish, 2019), debuted at the top of both the US Billboard 200 and UK Albums Charts.

With “Bad Guy,” its fifth single and Eilish’s first US Billboard Hot 100 number-one, it became one of the best-selling albums of the year. The theme song “No Time to Die,” which topped the UK Singles Chart and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2022, was co-written and performed by her the year after it was released for the James Bond movie of the same name. Her succeeding singles “Everything I Wanted,” “My Future,” “Therefore I Am,” and “Your Power” reached their peak in the US and UK top 10.
