MINIONS: THE RISE OF GRU
Theatrically released on July 1, 2022, had its world premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 13, 2022. Minions: The Rise of Gru, the latest spin-off in the franchise, tells the story of a kid’s transformation into a super villain before he eventually turned into a secret government spy. The prequel does not disappoint and shows how our favorite super villain Gru was always a hero at heart. The film received positive reviews from critics with praise going to the story and the voice acting.
ELVIS
Elvis has released, worldwide, in theaters, on June 24, 2022. The movie is a biopic of Elvis Presley, an American biographical musical drama film, directed by Baz Luhrmann, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce and Jeremy Doner. Elvis, from his childhood to becoming a rock and movie star in the 1950s while maintaining a complex relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker.
Stars: Austin Butler as Elvis Presley, Chaydon Jay as young Elvis Presley, Tom Hanks as Col. Tom Parker, Elvis’ manager, Olivia DeJonge as Priscilla Presley (née Wagner), Elvis’ wife.
ROCKETRY
Release on 1st July 2022, a biographical drama based on the life of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, who fought years on end for justice after being falsely accused of espionage in 1994, and was later acquitted by the Supreme Court in 1998 after a shattering battle of pride, truth, and justice for four years. The film marks R. Madhavan’s debut as director and simultaneous shot in Hindi, Tamil, and English. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo role in this film.
RASHTRA KAVACH OM
The film released on 1 July 2022, directed by Kapil Verma and produced by Zee Studios and Ahmed Khan. It stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjana Sanghi, Jackie Shroff, Ashutosh Rana, Prakash Raj and Prachee Shah Paandya. The movie is the story of a brave, patriotic officer, a RAW agent, is sent on a mission. He has to infiltrate a war to find clues to a significant asset of the country. While fighting the enemies on the ship, he gets shot.
HALUAMAN
The movie is a comedy, drama, suspense released on 24th June, 2022. Potash’s grandfather has a personal laboratory where he is busy performing many experiments. All of a sudden an experiment on Potash got power and is recognized as Haluaman, as he loves to eat Halua. Now the question is will Halua-man be able to fight against all evils and safeguard humanity? The feature film is produced by Abhimanyu Mukherjee and Joydeep Mukherjee starring Soham Chakraborty, Mimi Dutta, Soumyadipta Saha and Abhiroop Sen.
