Tzuyu drops a fresh cover of Taylor Swift’s ‘ME!’

The Taiwanese K-pop star just released a cover of Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie’s “ME!” on June 28.

Here is everything you need to know about the new cover:

  • They released a 10-second teaser video featuring the TWICE singer in a room full of balloons as a piece of the song plays. It was posted on YouTube on June 22 and has already garnered 1.7 million views.
  • Tzuyu stays true to the bubblegum pop sound of Swift’s original version. To handle Urie’s parts, they also added labelmate Bang Chan of boyband Stray Kids.
  • In the girl group’s ‘Melody Project’ series the members of TWICE released their covers songs on their group’s YouTube channel individually. This cover is their latest addition.
  • ‘Melody Project’ also includes Jihyo’s cover of ‘A Late Night of 1994’ by Jang Hyejin and Nayeon’s cover of Ariana Grande‘s ‘Love Is Everything’. 
  • With the ‘Taste of Love’ EP, TWICE just made their first domestic return of 2021 on June 11.
  • TWICE has also recently worked with Little Mix member Jade Thirlwall. The group said they were “very honored” to have teamed up with Thirlwall. It’s been a big month for TWICE.
  • They became the first top 10 spots on the Billboard 200 this week for their new album ‘Taste of Love’. It was released on June 11.
