Top 5 New York Budget Restaurants

Are you planning a trip to New York City and hoping to eat out every day but are afraid the restaurants might be out of your budget? Don’t worry – the great thing about NYC is that there are restaurants to suit all budgets. To help you in that, we are bringing up five top restaurants which will completely fit your budget.
Bargain Bites in the Big Apple
There’s a reason the cost of a slice in New York City has stayed largely in line with the cost of a subway ride. So in addition to all of the thrifty dishes that have been indelibly linked to the city, from bagels to hot dogs and yes, pizza, a variety of gently priced global staples have been added to the canon, including Chinese dumplings, Middle Eastern falafel, Polish pierogis and West Indian roti. So while the cost of a shared studio may threaten to exceed your salary, at least you can reliably fill your belly for $10 or less.

Russ & Daughters – Lower Eastside
In New York City, until the 1960’s, there were appetizing stores in every borough and in almost every neighborhood. On the Lower East Side alone there were, at one point, thirty appetizing shops. Though one of the last of its kind, Russ & Daughters is committed to preserving and promoting this important food culture. This cafe has a century of experience under its belt, so you know you’re in good hands. They specialize in bagel work, and you can’t go wrong with “The Classic”. Price range is from 3$-10$. >127 Orchard St, NY

Harefield Road – Brooklyn
If you are searching for good food with fair budget, you will find this place wonderful. Harefield Road is the poster child for Brooklyn brunch vibes. Dark woods, skylight, and a full bar for a boozy brunch with friends. What to try: Huevos Rancheros — two eggs any style with black beans, avocado, pico de gallo, salsa verde, and cheddar cheese on a crispy tortilla. Served with home fries. > 769 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn, NY

Rice to Riches – Manhattan
Manhattan’s favourite dessert place, Rice-to-Riches kitchen in the basement, and into that kitchen he lured the former pastry chef at Montrachet and Nobu, a talented fellow named Jemal Edwards. Under Edwards’ culinary inventiveness, 18 flavors for rice pudding were planned for opening day. Rice pudding was once relegated to a déclassé dish that flourished in hard economic times, made from leftover rice from the previous night’s meal. > 37 Spring St, NoLita, Manhattan

Shanghai You Garden
Fabled dumpling maker Zhou Jianhua left Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao for Shanghai You Garden, which is now the best place in town to get Shanghai soup dumplings, also known as xiao long bao or XLB for short. The skins here are imperially thin, the soup dense and oily, and the filling of the best variety featuring pork and savory shreds of crabmeat. The premises are ultramodern, and other Shanghai dishes fill out the menu. > 135-33 40 Rd, Flushing, NY
