Tom Morello Responds to Rage Against The Machine’s Political Roots

After responding to a message from one fan who complained about hearing “political BS” in his songs, Morello and Twitter have highlighted the band’s political history. Tara Pilkington reports.

After responding to a tweet on 9 June where a fan of Rage Against The Machine complained about the band members political opinions.

The since deleted tweet said: “Used to be a fan until your political opinions come [sic] out… Music is my sanctuary and the last thing I want to hear is political BS when I’m listening to music. As far as I’m concerned you and Pink are completely done. Keep running your mouth and ruining your fan base.”
