Tigray’s health crisis says WHO is becoming difficult. Tigray’s health crisis says WHO as it gives a warning that six million people face a health crisis. African Union has scheduled a conversation related to peace for next week in South Africa. The conversation will focus on the aggravating situation related to the crisis that is occurring in Ethiopia’s Tigray conflict.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus from the World Health Organization informs on Wednesday in a warning that says time is running out. The war is unable to get resolved as it started nearly two years ago. The Director General of WHO opines that it is a health crisis faced by 6 million people in the whole world. The world is not paying enough attention to the health crisis. He urges the international committee as well as the media to pay immense attention to the crisis. He says that the situation deserves attention as he claims that, “a very narrow window now to prevent genocide”.

Analyst Estimates regarding the situation


There are thousands of people who got killed in the brutal conflict. One of the analyst estimates suggests that the death toll will rise as high as 80,000 people. There had been a displacement of millions of people. Hundred and thousands of people are facing famine in the current situation. An investigation found in the last year reports that all the sides which fought for war had committed violations. The violations might pile up into war crimes.


UN Secretary-General: The Current Situation


WHO chief echoed that the UN Secretary-General earlier this week keeping in mind the situation Ethiopia is now getting out of control. The hostilities that are going on in Tigray must end now. There should be an immediate withdrawal and disengagement of Eritrean armed forces from Ethiopia. Tedros comes in his opinion when he highlights that banking, fuel, food, electricity, and healthcare are at stake. These are all the products of war as the media was not allowed any coverage and the civilians are destroyed in the process.
