The UK braces for Hurricane Lorenzo as it makes it’s way towards the island

After a weekend of heavy rain, The UK still braces for worse weather being brought by Hurricane Lorenzo over the Atlantic Ocean.
Today, the storm will be reaching the Irish coast and sweeping across the country. The South West region of the UK will also be affected by strong winds and heavy rainfall.
As the day goes by, the winds and wet weather is due to move north from southern England and Wales creating 85 flood warning across the UK with 203 alerts for possible flooding in England and Wales alone.
Mark Wilson, the Met Office metrologist, said that, “There will be another spell of rain across much of the UK on Monday. There are warnings in force for Wales and western England.
“In England there are 72 localised flood warnings and 180 flood alerts, and in Wales there are 13 localised flood warnings and 23 flood alerts.”
