Tasty Tuesday: How to make the perfect Macarons!

Make pretty little French macarons the right way for your loved ones using this recipe! I bet they will come out crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

Ingredients:

  • 100 gram of egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 140 gram of almond flour
  • 220 gram of fine granulated sugar

Method:

Sift the almond flour and 120gram of sugar ingredients into bowl.

Take the room temperature egg whites into a mixing bowl. Use an electric hand mixer to make the meringue. Add salt and the cream of tarter to make a fine stiffed meringue. Add 100-grams of fine sugar and mix it gets Marshmallow- y. Add a tsp of vanilla for the flavor.

Fold your dry sifted ingredients with the meringue mixture. At this point, you can color your macarons by adding food gel colors. Use parchment paper on your baking sheet and pipe your mixture using a piping bag. Rest it aside for 40-45 minutes till your macarons form a nice skin on top.

Set oven to 320ËšF for 15 minutes

Finally, cool the macarons down and fill them up with your favorite jam or buttercream.
