Tasty Tuesday: Bagels!

Start your morning the right way with some delicious, home-made bagels!

Ingredients:

  • 220g self-raising flour
  • 245g greek yoghurt
  • 1 egg, beaten

Method:

Before you start, make sure that your oven is pre-heated to 200°C. Next, in a large bowl, mix together your self-raising flour with your greek yoghurt until they form a ball. Now, transfer this ball of dough onto a lightly floured work surface and use your hands to shape the mixture into 20CM discs. Using a knife, cut the dough into four equal pieces.

One at a time, now roll each piece of dough into a log, and then shape this into a ring and transfer onto a paper-lined baking sheet. Brush the tops of your bagels with egg wash, and any seasoning of your choice if you wish, and bake for 20/25 minutes until golden brown.

Now, just wait for them to cool down and enjoy!
