Tasty @Cafe On Veg Fried Rice Recipe

Are you thinking about some delicious and lip-smacking lunch at home? This is the time for you to get your chopping boards ready. The more you chop the more you are in the race to land a delicious meal for your lunch. This veg fried rice recipe is so delicious it will reawaken your slept taste buds.


Ingredients:


• 2 cups of boiled long-grained rice (preferably basmati)
• 1 cup of onion finely chopped
• 1 cup of capsicum finely chopped
• 1 cup of yellow and red bell pepper finely chopped
• 1 cup of beans finely chopped
• 1 cup of carrot finely chopped
• 1 cup of peas/corn parboiled in water
• 2 teaspoons of grated ginger
• 4 teaspoons of grated garlic
• 1 cup of spring onion greens finely chopped
• 1 green chili finely chopped
• Salt to taste
• ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
• 1 teaspoon white pepper powder
• 2 teaspoons of light soya sauce
• 1 teaspoon of vinegar (lemon juice can be used as a replacement for vinegar)
• 2-3 teaspoons of oil (olive oil could be used as well)


Instructions:

• Heat oil in a pan and adds the carrots beans bell peppers and onions.
• Saute them for some time till the onions are translucent.
• Add the corn/peas and toss it well on high heat.
• Add the ginger and the garlic and saute it on a high flame.
• Mix everything very well, the raw smell of the ginger and garlic should not stay. (The idea to add the ginger and garlic later, is to keep the flavours basic and simple, yet delicious)
• The vegetables should be tossed in high heat so that the crunch in the vegetable remains.
• Add salt (a little bit, as the soya sauce, is also high in salt), black pepper powder, and white pepper powder and mix it well.
• Add the light soya sauce and vinegar mix it another last time before you add the rice.
• Add the rice and mix all of it well immediately. (You have to keep stirring because the flame will remain high, there are chances of getting it burned)
• The flame could be turned to medium heat but make sure not for too long, just toss it a little and add the spring onion greens. (Save half of it for your garnish)
• Remove it from the heat and serve it on the plate. Garnish it with some spring onion greens.
