People Act Against Government’s Migration Policy

People in the UK acted consciously and stopped the immigration officials from taking away a Nigerian immigrant. This is definitely a political sign of the people who are not happy with the government’s newly passed migration policy

Let him go!

Over 200 people gathered in Peckham, south-east London, as word circulated that a Nigerian immigrant was being detained and may be deported for reportedly outstaying his visa.

After their vehicle was encircled by an irate throng demanding that they free a guy they had detained, immigration agents were compelled to free him.

The mob chanted “Let him go!” and “People power!” to keep the vehicle from going away. The police were summoned, but they were unable to disperse the mob.

People’s power

The society’s effort is a rerun of a community movement in Glasgow in May 2021, when thousands of citizens stopped migration police from deporting a guy they had detained.

The van was blocked for over 3 hours in Saturday’s event before the guy was freed. It’s been reported that a social networking appeal for help for the detained man was launched.

Shameful Policing

Officers attempted to arrest a handful of activists in the front row, but they were resisted by the others who also were seated, and the officers eventually gave up.

After much outcry, the cops eventually declared that he would be released, and it took about 30 minutes for them to physically open the gates, so people waited and demanded it to happen immediately.

The incident occurred as the government faced backlash over its plan to deport immigrants and shelter seekers to Rwanda.
