Ocean’s 8 is a 2018 American heist comedy film directed by Gary Ross and written by Ross and Olivia Milch. The film is a spin-off of Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s trilogy. The plot follows a group of women, led by the estranged sister of Danny Ocean, who plan on robbing the Met Gala.
Danny Ocean’s younger sister Debbie attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala. Her first stop is to assemble the perfect crew. Together, they recruit a crew of specialists, including jeweler Amita, street con Constance, suburban mom Tammy, hacker Nine Ball, and fashion designer Rose. Their target — a necklace that’s worth more than $150 million.
