The Newcastle-based NE1 company will be sponsoring Newcastle Pride for the fourth year running. The LGBT festival organised by Northern Pride will include many events in the time leading up to the main Pride weekend.
Organisers are looking to give visitors to the Newcastle festival a bigger and better experience than ever before. Newcastle Pride is an event that greatly benefits the city. Northern Pride are hoping that this year’s edition will manage to pump over £9m into the local economy, which it did last year.
Stephen Willis, the director of the festival, said “Newcastle Pride is all about celebrating the diversity of our city and we are always looking for new ways to make the festival bigger and better.
“We wouldn’t be able to achieve all of the things we already have planned for this year without the support from NE1 and we are thrilled to have them on board again”.
Sean Bullick, Chief Executive for NE1, a company working with local businesses to drive economic growth in Newcastle, said “We are delighted to be headline sponsors once again and are already looking forward to this year’s event.
“Not only is Pride great fun and enjoyed by the people of Newcastle, it attracts thousands of national and international visitors and delivers a major economic boost for the city”.
Newcastle Pride, which will be taking place between 20-22 July will include live music events and entertainment. Line-ups are still to be confirmed.
Most of the events part of the LGBT festival are free. You can, however, purchase tickets to enjoy exclusive benefits. You can find more information at northern-pride.com.
