Music Monday: Top 5 Valentine’s Day theme tracks

Valentine’s Day is all about celebrating love. On this valentine, our music editor Adam Humphries reviews some love songs for you. Make sure to add them to your playlist!

Adele – When we Were Young

A great classic by a British singer/songwriter, full of power and emotion, and us about reminiscing over loves from days gone by.

Kylie & Jason – Especially For You

A timeless classic from the late ’80s and is about people in the feeling of love talking about their feelings for each other. There’s something almost secret diary about it when you listen to the lyrics.

Christina Perrie – A Thousand Years

One of the songs that served as part of the official soundtrack for the Twilight Saga. What people are willing to do for that special person.

Troye Sivian – My My My

A great dance track from an Australian singer/songwriter/actor. Listen carefully to the song and it sends the clear message about falling in love with and accepting yourself before embracing that special someone first. As RuPaul famously says “If you can’t love yourself how the hell are you gonna love somebody else”

Disclosure ft Sam Smith – Latch

The song that first introduced us to the powerhouse is Sam Smith. A great dance track and is about developing feelings for someone and the lengths you’re willing to go for them
