That Old Quiet Lighthouse – continue to create their sad-boy multiverse with the new single ‘Laughter’

Continuing with a sad boy multiverse That Old Quiet Lighthouse is back with the news is back with a new single Laughter. Now the song may not be what you’d call Emo but the attitude isn’t that far off. When the band sings it’s about a love that was lost due to a moment of madness. Everything else is about reminiscing about the times.

Laughter also features the guest vocals of Sanja Cin in the background. Added together with front man Alex G They create a smooth melodic harmony with Sanja’s adding almost ghost-like quality

In a way, the song is almost like a duet between the two singers as they reminisce about old times

That Old Quiet Lighthouse continues to create its sad-boy multiverse with its new single ‘Laughter’, out on 10th February 2023.

Benji Tranter releases video for infectious acoustic-pop single – ‘Speed Camera’!

If there was ever a song to which you could add the ‘tag it does what it says on the tin’ then this definitely is of that type, Right down to the very last detail. Benji Tranter’s single Speed Camera is about driving through on the road it’s about driving through on the road looking through the windscreen and observing a world as you’re driving past the world.

One of the pros of this song is that it’s not hard to sing to, you’re able to pick up the words as you go along it’s a steady pace

When it comes to the video it’s quite clever what Benji has done as its very low key not expensive Andong alone is easy to sing to, there are even added lyrics on the screen

The Pink Slips – Foxy Feline

Released back in 2019 Foxy Feline is a Female punk type song that still keeps a feminist edge. Similar to the 1990’s song All That She Wants by Ace of Base, Feline Is about a woman who is on the prowl for a male and once she has her sights on him she won’t let him go.

What’s enjoyable about this song is that it’s a mixture of that is a mixture of feminine and feminist and punk. Another thing about it that’s interesting is that it’s a role reversal in which the woman is the predator and the man is the prey.

Considering the amount of punk rock on the music scene very little seems to be from women so it’s a refreshing change to have something where, for once, the woman’s in charge

Jay Z & Kanye West – No Church in the Wild

Released way back in 2011 by Jay Z and Kanye West Church in the Wild has strong of element protests to it. Lyrics about human struggles against injustice and the fights for rights. The background beat is almost like a heartbeat and you can almost hear and feel. And the power of the rage coursing straight through.

The genius of the song is that it came out during some of the London riots. And from that relations between the local communities and the police were at their most volatile.  They don’t hear much of these two artists putting these two definitely paid off as what they created was absolutely epic
