MOVING MOUNTAINS MEATLESS ‘BLEEDING’ BURGER LAUNCHES

MOVING MOUNTAINS MEATLESS ‘BLEEDING’ BURGER LAUNCHES INTO NON-VEGETARIAN RESTAURANTS FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH DIRTY BONES, NYC-INSPIRED COMFORT FOOD RESTAURANT IN LONDON AND OXFORD

BRANDS CREATE ‘VEGAN MAC DADDY’ BURGER WITH EXCLUSIVE HALF PRICE LAUNCH OFFER ACROSS ALL LOCATIONS ON FRIDAY 1ST JUNE 2018

Moving Mountains® (www.movingmountainsfoods.com), the British brand leading plant-based innovation into unimagined territory, has teamed up with NYC-inspired comfort food restaurant and cocktail bar, Dirty Bones(www.dirty-bones.com) to  launch the UK’s first ever meatless ‘bleeding’ burger across London and Oxford. This will be the first time the Moving Mountains B12 burger will be available for purchase at a non-vegetarian restaurant.

The Moving Mountains B12 burger will launch on Friday 1st June 2018 at all five of Dirty Bones’ locations in Kensington, Carnaby, Shoreditch, Soho and Oxford. To celebrate the partnership, the burger will be available at 50% off its regular menu price on the first day of launch at all venues.

Best known for their creative cocktails and indulgent, NYC-inspired comfort food, the Dirty Bones’ team have created an exclusive, entirely vegan twist on one of their most popular signature dishes, The Mac Daddy. The Vegan Mac Daddy (£12.00) will feature the Moving Mountains plant-based meat B12 patty topped with vegan mac & cashew ‘cheese’, smoky mushroom ‘short rib’ and espresso-spiked BBQ sauce on a soft bun.

Through giving Dirty Bones’ iconic Mac Daddy burger a vegan-makeover, the exciting partnership will allow guests all across London and Oxford to experience the next level of vegan comfort food and try the Moving Mountains burger for the first time. On track to be one of the most impactful food inventions of this century, the B12 burger has taken a team of leading UK scientists, chefs and farmers more than two years and over 200 test-kitchen recipes to create. The plant-based patty is so akin to animal meat it promises to convert even the most committed carnivores.

Simeon Van der Molen, Founder of Moving Mountains says: “Expanding into new restaurants and cities is part of Moving Mountains’ mission to make truly inspiring flexitarian dining available to everyone. Our launch into such a renowned meat restaurant, Dirty Bones, shows the Moving Mountains B12 burger does not compromise on taste and provides a viable alternative for flexitarians, vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters alike.”

Cokey Sulkin, Founder and Operations Director of Dirty Bones says: “We’ve been getting lots of requests for a vegan-friendly version of our best-selling Mac Daddy burger, and we’re thrilled to have created something that allows everyone from vegans to health-conscious, part-time vegetarians to enjoy our most popular dish. We’re really excited to be the first non-vegetarian restaurant group to carry the Moving Mountains B12 Burger and have spent a lot of time creating something that stays true to Dirty Bones’ signature style – creative, comforting and only comprised of the finest quality ingredients.”

Following a limited lunch time offer and preview of the B12 burger at plant-based restaurant, Mildreds in Dalston, which comes to an end this month, the Moving Mountains B12 burger will now be available fulltime on the menu for lunch and dinner at all five of Dirty Bones’ venues (Kensington, Carnaby, Shoreditch, Soho and Oxford) from 1st June 2018 and can be purchased in an exclusive serve: The Vegan Mac Daddy (£12.00).

The Moving Mountains B12 Burger

Not a veggie burger, every Moving Mountains B12 burger is 100 per cent plant meat, 0 per cent cow and looks just like a regular patty.  When cooked in the pan or BBQ, it sizzles, smells and browns just like the real thing.  And just like the very best juicy burger, when perfectly cooked, the Moving Mountains B12 burger bleeds through the middle – with beetroot juice instead of blood.By using simple and natural ingredients, incredible scientific processes and confidential technology, the burger replicates animal meat in every way:

  • Oyster Mushrooms are the base, which maintains the mouth-watering, succulent texture and differentiates the burger from US competitors. It provides health benefits including lowering cholesterol
  • Pea protein provide a source of protein
  • Potato protein provide a slightly crispy, grilled crust
  • Wheat and soy proteins give a fibrous texture akin to the bite and depth    of a traditional burger
  • Beetroot juice allows a juicy, ‘bleed’ at the centre of the patty
  • Coconut oil provides a fatty, satisfying consistency
  • Vitamin B12, traditionally associated with red meats, has been added so that the Moving Mountains burger can genuinely compete with a beef burger and provide more essential nutrients as the burger contains the RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) of B12

Each Moving Mountains B12 burger has zero cholesterol, 20g of plant protein, is vegan and free-from antibiotics and hormones. Seriously satisfying, the burger will quell comfort-food cravings, without the meat hangover.

The future of eating well for health and for the planet, Moving Mountains’ plant-based meat requires less land, less water and produces less greenhouse emissions than animal meat. It looks, smells and tastes as indulgent as regular meat so it can be enjoyed 100% guilt-free.
