Michael Jackson’s Moonwalk Shoes Go up for Auction

The original pair of shoes worn by Michael Jackson when he first performed his now famous moonwalk dance are up for auction.
The King of Pop wore black leather loafers during a rehearsal of Billie Jean, while he was preparing for the “Motown 25” television special in 1983.
The auction will take place ahead of what would have been the King Of Pop’s 60th birthday, reports Hollywood Reporter.
“These loafers have never been offered at auction, and are the first pair of Motown 25 shoes that have ever been made available to the public as, to our knowledge, no other pair has surfaced in over 35 years.
Other Jackson-used items up for auction include his red Christian Dior cardigan and his Swarovski-studded riding helmet.
The music superstar died at age 50 in 2009 after suffering cardiac arrest at his home near Los Angeles.
