Mark Ronson & Diplo Debut New Collaborative Project ‘Only Can Get Better’

Mark Ronson and Diplo have a new duo act called Silk City and shared the primary style of their new collaborative venture ‘Only Can Get Better’, a feel-good house track with a retro touch.
The pair are set to headline this years Bestival beneath their moniker Silk Metropolis. Immediately they’ve unveiled the retro, house-inspired lead single. The summer time smash-in-waiting that includes Daniel Merriweather.
Speaking to BBC Radio’s Annie Mac, Ronson said he and Diplo first met back in 2002 and praised the producer’s past work with artists like M.I.A. Ronson also teased an upcoming collaboration between Silk City and U.K.
“Even though the style of music we do is quite different, there’s so much shared stuff that we do love like classic house, disco and hip-hop,” Ronson told Mac. “So we just got in the studio sometime last year and started making some music”.
Diplo beforehand mentioned that the brand new venture is “a homage to a few of the biggest dance music cities” on the earth, which he named: Chicago, London, Paris and Detroit.
Mark Ronson last released a full-length record in 2015 with ‘Uptown Special’, while Diplo’s last LP, ‘California’, dropped in March this year. Diplo also teamed up with Sia and Labrinth recently – forming the supergroup LSD.
