Lollapalooza music festival has confirmed its return for 2021. It will be returned to Grant Park at full capacity July 29-Aug 1.
Last year, after the cancellation of the festival for the coronavirus pandemic, according to sources, a near-to or full capacity festival had been approved for this summer.
The organizers have announced on Tuesday that Lollapalooza will return across the aforementioned reported dates, with the 2021 line-up expected to arrive on Wednesday at 10 am. Lollapalooza promoters C3 Presents said, “We are excited about the progress in Chicago as the city continues to reopen”. “We are in close contact with city and public health officials as we continue to plan for the festival and remain optimistic about Lollapalooza 2021 in Grant Park,” he added.
Lollapalooza typically welcomes 1 lakh, daily attendees, to see more than 170 acts perform across eight stages. But this year, Consequence Of Sound informs that festivalgoers who are not fully vaccinated will be required to take a COVID test within 24 hours of attending the event each day. Further details on Lollapalooza’s entry policy for 2021 are announced in early July.
Though last July, co-founder Marc Geiger predicted that live music would no return in the US until 2022.
