Sustainable holidays for August

It is not wise to plan a global holiday during this pandemic. So how can we plan a getaway in the most sustainable way this month? Let us promote our country’s resources instead and look at the different opportunities and adventures that it has to offers instead. This week, we bring you the five most sustainable and affordable holiday hotspots to ramp up your eco credentials while you’re there:

Go glamping in the British countryside

From calm lakeside cabins to beautifully crafted treehouses cradled high in woodland hollows is a premium UK glamping option for stylish vacations right now. Which means you might not even need to leave the county to get away this year. Check out the covetable edits offered up by Canopy & Stars and Gleamingly. Two leading companies specialize in unique, luxurious spaces that are also highly sustainable. This West Sussex-based cabin comes complete with its private lake for the best wild-water swimming experience this summer. Weston Park

Weston Park is a country house in Weston-under-Lizard, England. It is set in more than 1,000 acres of park landscaped by Capability Brown. This Park is close to the border with Shropshire. Weston Park House and the surrounding parkland were given to the nation in 1986 by the 7th Earl of Bradford. It is now in the care of the trustees of the Weston Park Foundation. The house retains its art collection with over 30,000 objects and is open to the public. If you want to make a plan for visiting there just go through their website https://www.weston-park.com/.

Eco-friendly cottages in the UK

Longstone Cottage offers a holiday that’s all about serenity, simplicity, and the simpler things in life. Accessed by a National Trust track, this rustic Edwardian cottage is surrounded by rolling green hills, and abundant wildlife. The cottage is also a fabulous spot for stargazing, as the area is known for its dark skies. It is also brilliant for walkers and cyclists who can explore the many paths and tracks. Take a trip to the Old and New Battery or go fossil hunting on the island’s dinosaur coastline. For lazy beach, days go down the Brook beach which is only a five-minute drive away. If you want to stay in nature you should make a plan to go there. For details go through the link: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/

Wildlife safari, Spain

Belgian griffon, Spanish regal eagles, great spotted cuckoos, and larks are among the species to tick off on a wildlife adventure to Extremadura, in western Spain. This is one of Nature trek’s new no-fly group trips, which also aim to minimize disposable plastic use. After the ferry to Santander from Plymouth, there’s a boat ride in the Bay of Biscay to spot whales and dolphins. Tourists med to take a rail journey to spend two nights in Madrid for some urban bird-watching in the Real Jardín Botanica. Take the high roads in Switzerland

Having appeared in a few Swiss locations in recent years, the open-air concept is being rolled out across seven regions of eastern Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Many will be in the Lake Constance region, but there there is another interesting place to stay in Radolfzell, which is at the Aquaturm hotel. This is a redevelopment of a high-rise water tower, energy-neutral, wind, and geothermal. The area has a few zero-km restaurants too, including Restaurant Muhle in an old monastery and the Schloss Wartegg Hotel, supplied by its garden and lake.
