Josh Fauver, Former Deerhunter and Bassist has Died, Aged 39

Josh Fauver, the former Deerhunter member who served as bassist during the Georgia band’s ascension to indie rock stardom, has died at the age of 39, it has been confirmed. The cause of his death is still unclear.
The musician joined the Atlanta band in 2004. He was part of the band until 2012, and appeared on several albums, including 2007’s Cryptograms and 2010’s Halcyon Digest.
During his career, Fauver also performed in Atlanta bands Electrosleep International and S.I.D.S, and ran a label called Army of Bad Luck.
Fauver is also credited as co-writer on the Microcastle highlight “Nothing Ever Happened,” which he penned alongside frontman Bradford Cox.
Deerhunter posted a photo of the band with Fauver on their Instagram page 3 November and he wrote: “Very difficult times now.”
His friends and fans have started paying tribute to Fauver on social media.
