Hurricane Fiona in Puerto Rico is knocking out the power network of Rico. Fiona, the hurricane in Puerto Rico is terrible as most of the people remain without power. Terrible climatic change is witnessed across the world. The climate is responsible to bring out fear among the people. The cost of living becomes difficult when such a terrible natural disaster stuck a place. Puerto Rico is almost surviving without power.

Hurricane Fiona struck Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico remains without power even a day after the hurricane struck it. The island is hit by up to 30 inches of rain to parts of the island. Hurricane Fiona brought 100-mile-an-hour winds. The speed of the winds was fierce and destructive. The entire electrical grid of Puerto Rico collapsed as Fiona’s eye was bustling across the southwest coast of the island. Rivers have also got overflooded due to the Hurricane.

Hurricane Fiona is responsible for the flash floods and landslides in the southwestern region of the island. Fiona has also washed away at least one major bridge in Puerto Rico in the town of Utuado. The damage by the hurricane is described by Governor Pedro Pierluisi as catastrophic. It is confirmed that Hurricane Fiona hit just two days before the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Maria. Hurricane Maria killed thousands of people and devastated Puerto Rico’s electrical grid. It also damaged the other infrastructure.

The intensity of the Hurricane was so intense that it left the United States without any electricity. Hurricane Fiona generated winds that ran 140 km/h along with intense rain that caused serious damage to the infrastructure. The landfall was caused due to the Hurricane at 3:20 p.m. the local time on Sunday. Immediate chaos has taken the government officials to evacuate the areas. The tropical storm made its landfall on Puerto Rico’s eastern coast. The wind caused rains worthy of record
