Help Musicians UK

Help Musicians UK (HMUK) is Britain’s leading independent music charity. Since 1921, HMUK has provided help and support to empower musicians at all stages of their lives.
As well as playing a vital role supporting people who are dealing with an illness, injury or accident, HMUK supports learning, creativity and professional development.

HMUK helps musicians from a wide range of backgrounds and all musical genres, offering financial support, home visits or access to health advice. The Health and Welfare team provides specialist help such as the Emerging Musicians’ Health Scheme and the Musicians’ Hearing Health Scheme.
Earlier this year the charity launched the Music Minds Matter mental health support service, open day and night to anyone in the UK music industry. Calls are free and confidential on 0808 802 8008.
Help Musicians UK also has a number of funding opportunities available for musicians and artists, such as the Transmission Fund providing grants for artistic and professional development and the Fusion Fund for collaborative research and development projects. They also work in partnership with MOBO and offer the Peter Whittingham Jazz Award to help fund exceptionally talented and emerging artists.
You can support their work by donating here: helpmusicians.org.uk.
