Dated from 22 June to 26 June in 2022, these five days art festival, namely the Glastonbury festival is all set to spread its colors in Pilton, Somerset, in England. It is in full bloom after two years of cancellation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Primarily, it’s renowned as the music festival, but it also lays its sparkling hands on the performances like dance, circus, theatre and a lot more. Glastonbury at a Glance, 2019
The 2019 Glastonbury Festival was held on 26 June to 30 June. Jon Hopkins, Wu-Tang Clan and other ruled the West Holts Stage, whereas, Interpol and The Streets were placed at the John Peel Stage. Miley Cyrus also had her performance in the Glastonbury 2019. Kylie Minogue performed in the legends slot.
New Attractions
Glastonbury on Sea, happened to be the new attraction with amazing sea-fearing events. It included animatronics, amusements across the beach. The expansion of Block 9 in South East also added to the vastness of the festival. IICON is the vast arena, with its sculptural look for dance performances. It is worth the scream which Glastonbury stands for. IICON waits for the sun to set, because its true magic spreads when it comes to life with musicians playing on experimental tunes and DJs to entertain its audience. That huge LED screen presents visuals animated by the technical team of Block 9. The night life of this music festival is lit with all those flashes of lightning. The creative saga of themed stages is designed by Block 9. It is a monument of pseudo-religious aspect which is been crafted keeping the cheer of the festival that shouted as art in one aspect.
A Special Screening
There had been a prestigious moment for England in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2019 when it has won the match against Norway. The West Holts stage screens the quarter-final match between Norway and Britain after the request of Georgia Stanway, a player from the Women’s Team in England. The line up for the festival has definitely not included the match screening, but Georgia wanted her brother to watch the match as he would be there in Glastonbury. He will be having no other way but to see the match as it would be screened at the festival.
