Fire and Water: Missile on Taiwan

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit is surrounded by fire. The military forces of China began live firing drills in six regions that surrounded Taiwan. Thursday noted that China was firing missiles from its eastern coast to the eastern side of the island. The purpose was to enforce a restriction to reach Taiwan that deranged flights and shipping. Firing drills that had begun to protect Taiwan are planned to continue until Sunday. This is Beijing’s way of responding to Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan this Wednesday.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of China Hua Chunying said in an announcement that Beijing has organized a meeting on Thursday. This meeting will be attended by the Foreign Ministers of China and Japan. The meeting agenda is purely based on the expression of its infuriation on a statement by the Group of Seven countries that supported Pelosi’s visit and criticized China’s move. China voices that they will step up in response to the situation which disrupts their sovereignty and territorial integrity. As Pelosi’s visit doesn’t ally with the international laws framed by the country and this firing stands as a warning to the instigators.

China revises its history of being humiliated and bullied 100 years ago. China has improved itself, it’s the new version of itself and not the old one. China is no longer a part of the world where the imperialist forces can suppress over Chinese people or land. The firing on Thursday was carried out by the PLA Eastern Theatre Command. This was aimed at Taiwan even after Beijing laid out public warnings which were directed to forbid Pelosi’s visit. Colonel Shi Yi the spokesperson of the Eastern Theatre Command added that a multi-zone fire assault drill is being conducted by the units of the rocket force.
The missiles were aimed at waters in east Taiwan as the targets were set. The drills included the Dongfeng DF-17 hypersonic missile. Chinese conventional missile has previously practiced hitting foreign aircraft carriers. This was done to test China’s capacity in any kind of future endeavors. 11 Dongfeng missiles have been fired over Taiwan from all East, North, and South. Taiwan’s Foreign Ministry exclaims this firing is a provocation that is threatening Taiwan’s security. It is aggravating tensions in the region as well as disrupting international trade and transport. The waters have been enhanced by the missile to forbade the entry of ships and aircraft with Taipei, Keelung, Kaohsiung, and Hualien.
