Film Friday: Top 5 TV series to watch this weekend!

This week WhatsOn is back with the top new 5 exciting TV series. To make your weekend more delightful and less boring doesn’t forget to stream those.

All of Us Are Dead

All of Us Are Dead is a South Korean coming-of-age zombie apocalypse horror streaming television series. It stars Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun, Park Solomon, Yoo In-soo, Lee Yoo-mi, Kim Byung-chul, Lee Kyu-hyung, and Jeon Bae-soo. The storyline is about how trapped students must escape their high school which has become ground zero for a zombie virus outbreak.

Euphoria season 2

Euphoria returned this month, as glittery and horrifying as it’s ever been. The show kicked things off on a strong note, giving Fez his own episode, but some of the best characters (Maddy! Kat! Etc.) have been kicked to the sidelines. Nevertheless, Sam Levinson’s gritty teen drama will not be entertaining, thanks to plenty of extra pizzaz in the cinematography department and stellar performances from all its young actors.

Mandaar

Mandaar is an Indian Bengali-language crime thriller drama streaming television series created by Anirban Bhattacharya and Pratik Dutta. A loose adaptation of Macbeth by William Shakespeare, Bhattacharya makes his directorial debut on the OTT platform through this series.

Pam & Tommy

One thing Hulu’s new miniseries Pam & Tommy, executive produced by Craig Gillespie (who directs the first three episodes) gets consistently correct is the weird sense of vertigo that sets in returning to the mid-’90s. Especially if you lived through it the first time. The conflicting feeling of similarity and the vast difference can be overwhelming at times. The more things change, the more things stay the same.

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window

In this drama, for heartbroken Anna, every day is the same. She sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her. But when a handsome neighbor (Tom Riley) and his adorable daughter move in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder… Or did she?
