Film Friday: Top Easter movies to stream this Weekend

Easter Sunday is quickly approaching. Are you ready to make your weekend jam-pack with Easter egg hunts, brunch, and everything else! But after hectic weekdays, during the holidays, sometimes the best thing to do is to start watching movies and spend a few hours relaxing with family and friends.

We’ve compiled a list of Easter-themed films to make your weekend fruitful. Pushpita Karim writes.

Peter Rabbit

One of the best Easter movies to watch with your family is Peter Rabbit. It is special for you if you have little kids. It’s a whimsical spin on the classic children’s book Peter Rabbit.

The troubled little rabbit whose voice was done by James Cordon attempts to win over his neighborhood, Bea, and reclaim the Manor House from his adversary. The animation is excellently done, and the rabbits and animals blend in seamlessly with the real actors and scenery.

Easter Parade

Easter Parade is a classic MGM musical from the Golden Age of Hollywood starring Judy Garland and Fred Astaire. It is the ideal nostalgic escapism for Easter Sunday.

The story revolves around the Easter holiday, when a Broadway star and a chorus girl fall in love, and culminates with a proposal that takes place during the Easter Parade, of course.

Easter Yeggs

Bugs Bunny appears to take over for the Easter Bunny in this Looney Tunes animated short, delivering eggs to a few children’s homes. He tries to quit because he thinks they’re a little greedy, but the Easter Bunny persuades Bugs to try a few more homes.

This is one of the best Easter movies to take a trip down Looney Tune’s memory lane. Watch the funniest movies of all time for even more laughs.

The Dog Who Saved Easter

The movie starts with the banisters going on vacation over Easter, but Zeus is unable to accompany them and must spend the weekend at doggy daycare during Easter.

During his stay, a criminal enters and attempts to destroy the business, but the fearless pup saves the day.

The Steel Magnolias

The film is about friendship and heartbreak in a small town in Louisiana.

Annelle (Daryl Hannah) gives birth while her husband, Sammy (Kevin J. O’Connor), is dressed as a giantic bunny and playing with the town kids.

So, buckle up with popcorn and watch them this weekend.
