England Defeats Tunisia in World Cup Opener

Harry Kane led the English team to victory in a 2-1 win against Tunisia in Monday’s game.
Throughout the game, Team England played brilliantly with Kane scoring the first goal of the game.  It was a roller coaster of emotions as both teams went head to head, with a few missed opportunities for score advancement from England.
Tunisia was able to take advantage of a penalty and score to tie up the game. While the penalty was given for unnecessary roughness, the referee failed to call several penalties against Tunisia, whose team members were seen basically wrestling Kane to the ground at least twice.
In the end, it didn’t matter because Kane went on to score the final goal with a header, saving the match from being a draw.
With game one complete, England next faces off against Panama on Sunday 24 June.
