DZ Deathrays – Bloody Lovely

Aussie electro party dudes DZ Deathrays know how to write a tune but they’ve always had a whiff of goofiness about them that has meant their appeal has been somewhat limited. This latest album sees the Brisbane duo grow up a bit giving their music a more mature feel. While they may have swapped their surfer shorts for jeans they have retained much of the genuine charm of their earlier outings. The real trade off is that every once in a while Bloody Lovely sounds just that bit too polished. The lads from down under might just go international with this.
