The “Star Wars” actor John Boyega has been praised since he has given the impassioned speech at a London Black Lives Matter protest last week, resulting in industry professionals pledging to support his career and ensure his future success. Puza Snigdha reports.
Major Hollywood directors such as Jordan Peele, Edgar Wright, and Guillermo del Toro have showed their storng desire to cast John Boyega, after an impassioned speech at a London Black Lives Matter protest.
Boyega was worried about getting future role while he was giving speech in the London’s Hyde Park. “Look, I don’t know if I’m going to have a career after this, but fuck that”, he said the protest.
The line seek attention of a big list of directors and writers which made them took social media to tell Boyega that they would be more than honored and excited to work with him.
“We got you, John,” the director Guillermo del Toro tweeted.
“Have before and would again, in a heartbeat. So proud of John today,” said Edgar Wright.
“I would work with John Boyega and I urge other non-Black creators to affirm that they have his back as well,” wrote Matthew A. Cherry, who is the winner for Best Animated Short Film.
“I would crawl through a barrel of broken glass to have John Boyega even so much as glance at one of my scripts,” wrote Charlie Brooker.
John has raised a storm through his speech in the protest and that made gained respect and support from all the stars and directors.
