When you’re a 20 year old band on their 9th full studio album you have to take care of certain things. You need to still be making music that is relevant in a changing scene but also you need to keep your fans happy. Fail to do so and the wheels can come off. Here Death Cab For Cutie have just about done enough with a record that plays out for the fans but is very much inside safe territory when it comes to being on point. A case of thank you for today but can we have something a little fresher tomorrow.
