Europe: Heat Wave Rundown

Climate change is a reality of the time, the temperature of the earth is increasing day by day. The result of this natural calamity is resulting in deaths by heatstroke. Record-breaking temperature witnessed by Southern Europe this year that is expected to exceed 45C.
On Saturday Portugal issued a red alert until Sunday and suggested its people avoid outdoor activities to evade heat stroke as the recorded temperature exceeds 45C and still rising. The recorded temperature of Setubal was 46C.
Britain experienced 31C and three people already died in Spain from heat stroke where the temperature reached mid 40C. Most disappointing facts happened in Sweden where the highest peak melted.
According to a Met Office meteorologist, Alex Burkill, despite the cooler temperatures of recent days, “it is not the end of the hot weather for the summer” as sunshine returns to most of the country. There are possibilities of warns of thunderstorms and floods in parts of the country.
Netherlands motorway section closed due to the melting of the road surface by heat, in France four nuclear reactors being closed as they use river water to cool reactors, because of a heat wave the river temperature is also going high and it’s not safe to use the water for cooling at least.
The Met Office informed that excessive heat is likely to lessen come Wednesday, as conditions turn “fresher and more changeable”.
