Built in the late 1600s, the 30 room house offers the opportunity to explore the past with open viewings of stately rooms and hallways exhibiting inspiring art, everything from modern art to Egyptian and Roman sculptures in the sculpture gallery. Still, there is so much more to Chatsworth than house.
Grab lunch or afternoon tea in the Cavendish Restaurant, stroll through their farmlands or peruse the shelves of the house gift shops filled with fun souvenirs. There really is something for everyone.
Still, one of the highlights of a trip to Chatsworth House is a walk through their expansive back gardens. Featuring a Victorian rock garden, waterfall, and a hedge maze, the garden is a great place to pull our your camera and gather lots of Instagram worthy pictures. The house and land are also a popular film location, having been featured in films such as The Duchess and the 2005 Pride and Prejudice.
