Celebs Encourage People to Give Blood in New NHS Campaign

A bunch of celebrity personalities have come together in order to back a new campaign -#Date2Donate.

The movement was developed to emphasise the importance of giving blood; famous faces are uniting in order to donate whilst casually chatting about their personal journey to success and the perks of being famous.

Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens, Capital Xtra’s Remel London and Radio 1Xtra’s Yasmin Evans were the first celebs to get involved; they have since been broadcast in a video set at an NHS clinic.

The video shows the trio discussing their rise to fame and is an entertaining blend of humour and seriousness; subjects concern the significance of blood transfusions and how they can play a vital role in saving lives.

Nadine Eaton from NHS Blood and Transplant commented: “We are asking young people to make blood donation part of their regular routine, something that they have reoccurring in their diaries. Save a life by going about yours. Make a regular Date2Donate in 2018.”

The campaign is an effective way to promote the act of giving blood and we hope that its continued presence will encourage others to get involved and make a difference by donating.
